Paula Benson AM is the Chief Strategy Officer at AustralianSuper, bringing more than 25 years of senior leadership experience across superannuation, banking and financial services, mining and resources, infrastructure, health, education and media. She has held executive roles including Head of Global Marketing, Brand and Communications at IFM Investors, Executive General Manager of Corporate Affairs and General Manager of Corporate Responsibility at NAB, and General Manager of Corporate Affairs at Alcoa of Australia.

Paula has also served as Chair of Ovarian Cancer Australia, Director of the Victorian Funds Management Corporation, the Port of Melbourne, and Trustee of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre Trust. Paula was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2021 for significant service to people living with ovarian cancer and to business.

Recognised as a creative and innovative strategist, she is passionate about creating opportunities that deliver tangible financial and societal outcomes.Drawing on her experience at the intersection of strategy, investment and social impact, Paula explores how leaders can address systemic inequities in superannuation and build pathways to long term financial security that better support women’s advancement and economic resilience.
