Fiona Notley is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of RMIT University, where she leads university operations and corporate services to enhance student and staff experiences and deliver on RMIT’s Knowledge with Action strategy. Joining RMIT in 2024, Fiona brings extensive senior level experience across the tertiary sector, with a strong track record in transforming complex processes, improving organisational capability and driving measurable outcomes. She is deeply committed to people development, fostering high performing teams and building organisational resilience.
Fiona is Chair of the Universities Australia Deputy Vice Chancellors Corporate Committee and holds several board roles, including with UniSport Australia and Therapy Focus, reflecting her broad contribution to education, sport and health. A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, she also holds an MBA from Murdoch University.
Drawing on her experience leading large scale organisational transformation and talent strategies, Fiona provides valuable insights into rethinking succession, building leadership depth and ensuring future ready pipelines that can thrive in complex, rapidly changing environments.
