Tolu Okitika is the inaugural Chief Impact Officer at Perth Children's Hospital Foundation. She has led multi-million-dollar global health and development initiatives across Africa, Australia and North America. Most recently, she co-directed the Malaria Atlas Project, a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre delivering geospatial modelling insights for global malaria policy and investment decisions since 2015.
Tolu is also a Research Fellow at the Global Centre on AI Governance, providing data collection oversight across 32 African countries as part of the Global Index on Responsible AI project (second edition). Her work explores governance frameworks that guide responsible AI investments for sustainable development in emerging markets.
She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Washington and an Executive MBA from the University of Sydney.
A strong advocate for women's representation in leadership, Tolu serves on the board of Ishar Multicultural Women's Health Services and as vice president of Black Girls Level Up (BGLU) Inc.
