Carmel has worked for KPMG for more than 30 years. She is Deputy Chair of the KPMG Australia Board of Directors, the Victorian Chair and a senior partner in KPMG’s advisory practice.
As an experienced and highly respected Assurance, Risk, Governance and Finance professional Carmel advises Boards and Management Teams on emerging trends and better practices in areas such as Internal Audit, Risk Management, Financial Reporting & Capital Management and Governance.
Carmel has a strong passion and belief in equality and particularly the inequality representative in the government and corporate sectors from a lack of diversity in leadership. Carmel is a member and dedicates her time to numerous organisations such as UN Women Australia, Women Corporate Directors, Chief Executive Women and the 30% Club.
Carmel is also an experienced Non-Executive Director and has served and continues to serve on various Not for Profit Boards.
